Quality Assurance/Health and Safety Requirements

Tenderers may be required to provide the following for Quality Assurance/Health and Safety Requirements:

Option A) If a Tenderers organisation holds a UKAS (or equivalent), accredited independent third party certificate of compliance in accordance with BS OHSAS 18001 (or equivalent), or if a Tenderers organisation have, within the last 12 months, successfully met the assessment requirements of a construction-related scheme in registered membership of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) forum, then a copy of the certificate may be requested.

Option B) If a Tenderers organisation has a policy for health and safety (H&S) management, then a copy of the policy may be requested.

Guidance

Organisations with less than 5 employees are not required by law to have a documented policy statement. Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

Tenderer's may be required to submit and detail their Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Policy detailing arrangements to ensure Business Continuity and to enable Disaster Recovery, including the scope, validation, risk treatment and leadership in these areas.

Tenderer's policy should also demonstrate that their organisation keeps copies of documentation setting out Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Procedures. Documentation should include arrangements for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery throughout your organisation. This should set out how your organisation will carry out its policy with a clear indication of how the arrangements are communicated throughout your workforce.
