It is a requirement of this contract that bidders hold, or can commit to obtain prior to the commence of any subsequently awarded contract, the types and levels of insurance indicated below:

Employer's (Compulsory) Liability Insurance = 5 000 000 GBP.

Public Liability Insurance = 5 000 000 GBP.

Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required:

Tenderers will be licensed to transact business in the UK and authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

To establish the financial standing of a potential Tenderer, the Council will first take into account a risk report. In the event that a company is determined to have a high/ unacceptable risk of business failure, the submission will not be considered further.

III.1.3)Technical and professional ability
List and brief description of selection criteria:

Bidders will be required to provide examples that demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to deliver the services/supplies as described in part II.2.4 of the OJEU Contract Notice or the relevant section of the Site Notice.

Bidders will be required to confirm whether they intend to subcontract and, if so, for what proportion of the contract.

2 examples of provision of services similar in scope and value in the last 3 years.

A summary of the expected community benefits has been provided as follows:

Under this contract the successful Contractor will be expected to support Argyll and Bute Council's requirements for delivering a range of community benefits including:

Targeted recruitment and training for priority employability groups;

Work experience placements for the same target groups;

Curriculum support for schools and those on employability pathways;

Community Enhancement for community groups and projects;

Small and Medium Enterprises and Social Enterprise Organisations supply chain support.

59.3. Based on the value and term of contract being offered the Council expects you to meet a minimum level of Community Benefits points for the following Lots (please see attached ‘Community Benefits - Guidance for Tenderers’ document for further information on this):

LOT 1 - Material Damage - 60 CB points;

LOT 4 - Motor Fleet - 50 CB points;

Tenderers are required to complete the Community Benefits question within the relevant Lots' Technical Envelopes for this Invitation to Tender, providing a breakdown of the Community Benefits Points to be provided, a Community Benefits Method Statement, and a timetable for the delivery of these Community Benefits, i.e. what is to be provided within each year of the contract.
