II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

Abertay University wish to create a measured term framework for painter work for a 4 year period, by appointing suitably qualified and resourced companies. The work shall comprise all aspects of painting and decorating work to maintain the existing infrastructure in good decorative order and to protect substrates from the elements. It will also comprise work to new areas where the University estate has undergone repair or alteration works

Bidders must complete all sections of the ESPD provided.

Bidders should state its intention to subcontract and list any known sub-contractors.

When performing the contract Bidders will be required to confirm that they will employ environmental management measures.

Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required:

A relevant trade or professional qualification is required. Key Personnel allocated to this contract must be time served painters (SVQ or City & Guilds, or equivalent) or working towards the qualification.

A waste management plan for the contract period should be provided indicating how the Bidder will dispose of and recycle site surplus materials.

Documented arrangements for ensuring that the bidders apply quality management measures that are appropriate to the work for which they are being engaged.

Bidders should confirm if they are registered with Constructionline and if not they should be willing to register if appointed.
