The scope of the project includes the detailed design, engineering, system studies, procurement, manufacture, installation, construction, testing and commissioning of four Series Compensation Equipment (SCE) units at three sites. The rated system voltage is 400kV. Applicants must be able to provide a complete turnkey package for the SCE.
The solution offered shall pay particular attention to the impact that Sub-Synchronous Resonance (SSR) may have on generating units in the power network due to the presence of the SCE. The solution offered shall be demonstrated to mitigate any such SSR identified. The solution should take into account a nearby HVDC scheme and shall consider potential interactions between the HVDC and SCE.
