The project consist of the deepening of the existing inner harbours consisting of rock (granite)dredging and where necessary associated drilling and blasting pre-treatment.
Quay wall strengthening involving the installation of secant piles and reinforced concrete re-facing of existing masonry walls.
The demolition of a steel cantilever bridge structure and associated abutment.
Extension and re-alignment of 2 No jetty structures.
Formation of land reclamation using dredged material recovered from the inner harbour works.

III.1)Conditions for participation
III.1.1)Qualification for the system:
Conditions to be fulfilled by economic operators in view of their qualification: Prospective tenderers should submit details which demonstrate experience in the following areas:
1. Rock dredging, particularly dredging in granite and pretreatment / blasting.
2. Formation of reclamations including rock armour revetments.
3. Quay wall strengthening involving the installation of secant piles and the re-facing of existing quay walls using reinforced concrete.
4. Details of recent related projects (< 5 years) including testimonials and client references and client contact details.
In addition financial records, accounts, etc. should be submitted to demonstrate the ability to fund a project with a likely value in excess of £20 million for a duration of circa 18 months.
Submissions can be made by a single contracting organisation or by a formal consortium.
Methods according to which each of those conditions will be verified: Each submission will be reviewed and where necessary clarification and or additional information will be requested.
Contractors may be requested to attend an interview.
Submissions will be scored out of 25 in accordance with the criteria set out in Section IV of this Notice.
