The Comhairle is looking to appoint Tighean Innse Gall as the Managing Agent to deliver the Home Energy Efficiency Programme Scotland: Area Based Scheme (HEEPS) throughout the Outer Hebrides for the period 2015/16 on the grounds that TIG has:
- experience of managing and delivering a programme of energy efficiency measures to private sector houses in a remote rural area,
- experience of operating in the Outer Hebrides and an understanding of the distinct geography and culture of the islands,
- a proven track record of delivering energy information and advice,
- the appropriate accreditation to deliver the scheme,
- the ability to attract substantial amounts of Energy Company Obligation (ECO) funding to support the HEEPS scheme,
- the ability to complete the programme of works by the end of May 2016,
- the ability to publicise the scheme throughout the Outer Hebrides.
